Step 1 of 5: Application

Your application will be considered upon receipt of this application form, including all the supplementary documentation required.

Supporting documentation required with your application form includes:

  • A colour passport-sized photograph
  • R 500.00 (non-refundable) application fee
  • Certified copy of your Identity Document OR Passport
  • Certified copies of last school results and last tertiary study marks (if you have studied further)
  • Letters of undertaking
  • And a 300-400 word essay stating the following:
    • Why does the hospitality industry appeal to you?
    • Why do you think you would make a good manager in the hospitality industry?
    • Why do you want to study at Stenden South Africa?

If you wish to pay the application fee by direct deposit or electronic transfer, a copy of the deposit or transfer confirmation must be attached to the application. Please refer to the banking details at the end of this form.

Please refer to the Admission Policy of Stenden South Africa for all academic requirements. Relevant documentary proof of all qualifications and experience is required, including the last school results received. Stenden South Africa accepts last Grade 11 or any Grade 12 results for application purposes. All foreign certificates need to be submitted to SAQA for evaluation. SAQA evaluation may be done after you are accepted, and does not need to be submitted with your application.

 

Application Deadlines for July 2013 intake:

  • All foreign students must apply before 21 June 2013
  • South African applications are accepted until 17 July 2013

Application Deadlines for January 2014 intake:

  • All foreign students must apply before 1 December 2013  
  • South African applications are accepted until 22 January 2014*

* We suggest all applications be submitted prior to 19 December 2013 as Stenden South Africa has a shut down period for the Christmas Break.

Stenden South Africa does accept late applications, under exceptional circumstances. Please contact us for further details.

If you have not filled in all the information and attached all the supporting documents, it will not be considered a full application and you will still need to supply us with the outstanding documents, which you can send to info@stenden.ac.za at a later stage.
