Megan Walwyn - Module Coordinator of Lodge Management & Events Management.
Megan began her career in the Hospitality industry as a waitress at the age of 17.
After studying Law and Psychology for 2 years at UCT, Megan decided that she was pursuing the wrong career. In 2004, she became a restaurant and bar manager at Billy the Bum’s in Cape Town. In 2005, she enrolled at the Cape Town Hotel School (Granger Bay), where she completed a 3-year National Diploma in Accommodation Management. During this time she completed an internship at Cannizaro House Hotel in Wimbledon. In 2007, Megan worked as a Front Office Manager at the Kariega River Lodge in the Eastern Cape. During the following year she completed a BTECH Management degree at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology.
Megan also worked as an Industrial Placement assistant at the Cape Town Hotel School in 2008 and audited for a small accounting firm in Port Alfred during the 1st half of 2009. She has recently enrolled for her MBA in Tourism and Development Management with MANCOSA.
