Mr. Radu Mihailescu - Senior Lecturer, 1st Year Coordinator
Mr. Mihailescu has taught at a number of Universities in South Africa and Europe over the last eight years such as NMMU in Port Elizabeth, Free University of Bolzano in Italy and University of Malta. He has taught in various subjects associated with the tourism and hospitality industry such as Tourism Economics, Socio-Economic Issues in Tourism, and Travel and Tourism Research.
Mr. Mihailescu has published a number of papers in international and local peer reviewed journals with regard to tourism development in South Africa and Wine Economics Industry research. He is a member of the American Association of Wine Economists.
Mr. Mihailescu is a senior lecturer and course co-ordinator at the first year level. He has a BCom Hons degree in Economics and Business Management, and a MCom degree in Economics. At present he is in the process in Completing his Phd in Agricultural and Tourism Economics at Humboldt University in Berlin.
