Student Representative Council
Student Representative Council (SRC) is elected by the students, and these students serve on the committee for an academic year.
The SRC bridges the gap between the students and management. When students have any issues on campus, they talk to the SRC, and we speak to management about it, so the problem can be solved. There are different portfolios within the SRC.

The President’s Speech (Thamsanqa Jongile)
Education should build the capacities of the spirit of inquiry, creativity, entrepreneurial and moral leadership among students and become their role model.
We, the 2013/2014 board are dedicated to committing ourselves to the greater good of our campus through diligence, integrity, honesty, determination and perseverance. We realize that we will be held accountable to the students as a result we promise to be of strong character.
Our appointment alone is not the change we seek for, it is also an opportunity to make that change. We hereby summon a spirit of patriotism and of responsibility where each of us resolves to pitch in and work harder and look out, not only for ourselves but for each other. In this campus we rise and fall as one people. Our modules might be different but our destiny is shared. A new dawn of hospitality leadership is at hand.
The road may be difficult, the road may be long but we face this challenge with profound humility and the knowledge of our own limitations. We also face it with limitless faith and the capacity of Stenden South Africa. What we have already achieved as a campus will give us hope to achieve more tomorrow.
Besides our impeccable hospitality there is something else that connects us as a people. It is that fundamental belief and care of being my brother or sister’s keeper that makes this campus work. With this spirit, Stenden South Africa runs as a family that it always has been. More important than the comfort of our students, our efforts are aimed at their happiness.
This is the time to reclaim the fundamental truth. That truth is the fact that although there are many of us, we are one. Where we breathe, we hope and where we are met with cynicism and doubt we overcome, whenever we are told that we can’t we will respond with that timeless creed that sums up the spirit of a people that push beyond limits to achieve excellence.
Thamsanqa Jongile
